Why do I have to register?
Creating an account on cdispatch.com is required for anyone wanting to post a comment on a story. We require this registration to create a certain amount of accountability for the nature of the comments posted. This registration system allows us to reward the productive commenters and ban the commenters who insist on continually posting unconstructive messages.

We do require that you enter a valid email address when you register, but this email address will not be public. As soon as you register, we will send an email to the address you provide. You will have to click a link in that email to confirm your address.

When you register you can select a user name. This unique user name will be used to identify you when you post a comment.

eEdition subscribers are pre-registered and can comment without any additional registration.

How are comments organized?
Comments appear at the bottom of each story on cdispatch.com. By default, the comments are sorted by the number of times someone has clicked the "like" or "dislike" buttons that appear along with each comment. More liked comments appear at the top.

Alternatively, you can sort the comments by the time they were posted by clicking one of the other sorting options that appear at the top of the comment list on each story.
