We are sorry you are having trouble with eEdition. You must have JavaScript enabled on your browser and Adobe Flash installed on your browser in order to see the Dispatch eEdition. We also suggest upgrading to the latest version of your browser. Below are instructions on doing each of these.
Step 1: Upgrading Your Browser
Most people use Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari or Google Chrome to view webpages. Click the name of the browser application you use to connect to the internet to be taken to a website that will allow you to download the most recent version of their software. Return to this page once you are done with the upgrade.
Step 2: Install Adobe Flash
Flash is an application that will allow you to see animations and other enhanced content with your web browser. The Dispatch eEdition uses Adobe Flash to display the paper. Visit Adobe's Website to install Flash for your browser and then return to this page after installation is complete. (You may have to completely shut down your browser and reopen it after installing Flash in order for the installation to be complete.)
Step 3: Enable JavaScript
Each browser and operating system is a little different on how to enable JavaScript. Below are some guideline for some of the most popular browsers:
Internet Explorer (6.0)
1. Select 'Tools' from the top menu
2. Choose 'Internet Options'
3. Click on the 'Security' tab
4. Click on 'Custom Level'
5. Scroll down until you see section labled 'Scripting'
6. Under 'Active Scripting', select 'Enable' and click OK
Netscape Navigator (4.8)
1. Select 'Edit' from the top menu
2. Choose 'Preferences'
3. Choose 'Advanced'
4. Choose 'Scripts & Plugins'
5. Select the 'Enable JavaScript' checkbox and click OK
Mozilla Firefox (1.0)
1. Select 'Tools' from the top menu
2. Choose 'Options'
3. Choose 'Web Features' from the left navigation
4. Select the checkbox next to 'Enable JavaScript' and click OK
Mozilla Firefox (1.5)
1. Select 'Tools' from the top menu
2. Choose 'Options'
3. Choose 'Content' from the top navigation
4. Select the checkbox next to 'Enable JavaScript' and click OK
Apple Safari (1.0)
1. Select 'Safari' from the top menu
2. Choose 'Preferences'
3. Choose 'Security'
4. Select the checkbox next to 'Enable JavaScript'
