Mississippi University for Women”s Office of Continuing Education will offer 20 courses as part of its community Life Enrichment Program.
The spring session kicks off on Monday. More than 120 participants have signed up for the courses which range from ballroom dancing to gardening to wine tasting.
“We are very pleased with the number of people in the community who have expressed an interest in our courses and have signed up to participate this semester,” said Dr. Barbara Moore, director of continuing education. “We are also grateful for the professionals in our community who volunteer to teach our courses. They are all experts in their fields who love learning and teaching. Their contributions are priceless.”
Moore said next term they hope to offer Bridge, a course in world religions and another on health-related issues.
“Our participants frequently suggest new courses, and we try to act on those suggestions. Our beginning guitar course this semester is the result of a request from a participant last semester,” she said.
The fee for each term is $35, which allows participants to take as many courses as they like for the term.
