Focusing on world religions and interfaith dialogue, the 2011-2012 International Series at Mississippi University for Women will include presentations on specific religions, films about religious conflict and cooperation, and an interfaith dialogue between local religious leaders. Events for the fall include:
Each event begins at 7 p.m. in Martin Hall, Room 220, on the MUW campus and is free and open to the public.
The feature event of the spring semester will be "Overcoming Violence: An Interfaith Conversation," a panel dialogue to be held during World Interfaith Harmony Week in February.
Other events will include presentations on Judaism, Orthodox Christianity and Islam, as well as the film "Talking Peace," which explores "living room" dialogue between Jews and Arabs.
