Gunnar Gale recently won the geography bee at Heritage Academy Elementary School, a preliminary event to the National Geographic Bee. The event featured a competition between the top 10 students who qualified to compete in the final round of the event.
He will take a 70-question written test in an attempt to qualify for the state level bee to be held in Jackson in early April.
Gale is the son of Todd Gale and Stephanie Gale of Columbus.
