Sabrina Moore, a graduating senior at Mississippi School for Mathematics and Science from Starkville, has been selected as a semifinalist for the US Department of Education – US Presidential Scholars Program. She is one of 565 semifinalists chosen out of 4,000 candidates, based on superior achievements, leadership qualities, personal character, and involvement in community and school activities. Final selection will include only two students from the State of Mississippi for the program, of which those selected will be invited to Washington, D.C. in June of his year to receive the Presidential Scholars medallion at a recognition ceremony and to participate in various activities and events held in their honor.
