“The Glass Menagerie” matinee — Students, teachers, seniors and military members are invited to a special 2:30 p.m. performance produced by the Tennessee Williams Tribute Committee at Mississippi University for Women’s Rent Auditorium. The play is preceded by a discussion by Dr. Jack White, retired head of the Mississippi State Honors Program. Afterward, meet the director, cast and crew. Streetcar Run — This 5K run starting at 8:30 a.m. at the Tennessee Williams Welcome Center, 300 Main St., traces the route of bygone streetcar tracks in Columbus. “Glass Menagerie” sermon — Part of the Tennessee Williams Tribute, the Rev. Anne Harris at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 318 College St., Columbus, presents a sermon based on the play at 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Continental breakfast is served. Williams’ grandfather was rector at St. Paul’s, 1905-1913. The church rectory was Williams’ childhood home and now serves as the city’s welcome center.
