African-American genealogy sought for Chicago publication

Special to The Dispatch

Have you asked yourself, "Why can''t I find anything about my people in my county''s heritage book?" Do you wish your ancestors had left behind a narrative of their own lives, rich in details about the people, places, and things that were most important to them?

In celebration of its 30th anniversary, the Afro-American Genealogical and Historical Society of Chicago (AAGHSC) announces it will be publishing a Heritage Book: a collection of biographical sketches, church and family histories, life events, memorials, oral histories and much more

AAGHSC is now accepting submissions from across the country. For more information on submittal guidelines and deadlines, pre-orders and sample stories, visit www.aaghsc.org. Questions may be directed to aaghsc@yahoo.com.
