A collection of works by local artists will be showcased in the Greater Starkville Development Partnership Gallery at 200 Main St. through the month of December. Formerly known as 100 Under 100, the Fall Arts Showcase is presented by the Starkville Area Arts Council (SAAC). All works are priced under $250.
With shopping season in high gear, the Arts In Public Places committee of the SAAC encourages the public to consider one-of-a-kind arts and crafts made by local artists. Drawings, paintings, photography, ceramics and glassworks comprise this year”s annual artists” showcase. From scenes of fall colors to island sunsets, nostalgic images to the timeless expressions of the artists” emotions; there is something to spark the imagination and strike a chord with collectors and gift-givers alike.
A percentage of the sales price will go to support the commissioning of public art works in the future.
For more information about the exhibit, contact Candy Crecink of the SAAC at 662-324-3080 ([email protected]), or contact Dylan Karges, chair of the Arts In Public Places Committee, at 662-312-7554 ([email protected].)
