The Rebecca’s Rooms’ mission is to provide disabled children with newly remodeled and decorated rooms customized to their particular needs and personalities. The nonprofit organization created by Reid Carter of Columbus to honor his late daughter Rebecca’s memory hosts its third annual Beauty and Beau pageant fundraiser June 6 at 11 a.m. at the New Hope Middle School Auditorium.
Jeffrey Rupp will emcee the event.
“I am really looking forward to this,” Rupp said. “What a great way to raise money for Rebecca’s Rooms and lift up some very special children at the same time. Plus, we are going to have some fun, so I hope everyone comes out.”
At the pageant, a Grand Supreme winner will be named who will represent Rebecca’s Rooms for one year at various public events. Other awards will be given, and all participants receive a crown.
Board member and fundraising chair Denene Thomason said, “We’re so thankful for everyone who helps support Rebecca’s Rooms through our fundraisers … It’s a beautiful thing when our community comes together to help change lives for others.”
Admission to the June 6 event is $5.
