Amber N. Coleman and Haley Hicks, both of Caledonia, are scholarship recipients at Itawamba Community College for 2015. Coleman received an ACT achievement incentive and leadership scholarship, and Hicks received a leadership scholarship.
Coleman is a 2001 graduate of Brandon High School, where she participated in soccer (four years), JROTC (four years) and Rodeo Club. Honors included soccer captain, company commander of JROTC and honor graduate. She graduated from Virginia College with a 4.0 GPA and was the recipient of the outstanding student award in industry management. She is the daughter of Bernice and Dudley Ferguson.
At Caledonia High School where she was a 2015 graduate, Hicks participated in Anchor Club, French Club (secretary and president) and HOSA (president). Other activities included game leader of AWANA. She is the daughter of Monica Hicks and Derrick Hicks.
