New York Times best-selling author and inspirational speaker Glennon Doyle Melton is coming to the Golden Triangle. The writer of “Carry On, Warrior” and the well-known voice behind the blog “Momastery” will speak Saturday, Oct. 3 in Starkville, presented by The Homestead Education Center.
The event is free to Homestead members, and $15 for nonmembers. Tickets are required in advance for Melton’s 7 p.m. presentation in Lee Hall’s Bettersworth Auditorium on the Mississippi State University campus. Get tickets at thehomesteadcenter.com, or call 662-694-0124.
Melton’s raw, witty commentary makes her an inspiring and entertaining speaker. Thousands of online readers converge daily to experience her shameless and laugh-out-loud funny essays about marriage, motherhood, faith, addiction, recovery and serving the marginalized. Her interactive presentation in Starkville is titled “Out of the Ashes: The Phoenix Process of Spiritual Rebirth.” Melton’s talk is in conjunctioin with a weekend retreat at The Homestead, said Alison Buehler, who established the center with her husband, Dr. Mike Buehler.
