“Lipstick on Your Collar,” “P.S. I Love You” and “Where the Boys Are” are a sampling of the musical gems in store at the Center for Breast Health and Imaging Pops in Pink fundraiser in Starkville Saturday, June 5. Proceeds will benefit the center”s Assistance Fund for Uninsured Ladies.
The entertaining evening of live music in the courtyard of the Thad Cochran Research Park Multi-tenant building begins at 7 p.m.
“We wanted to add a second annual fundraiser to help our fund that helps pay for mammograms for uninsured ladies,” said Mel Thurlow, director of marketing for OCH Regional Medical Center. “We”ve already been able to help about 25 women.”
Area favorites including Lyle Tate, Nora Stills, Brad Moreland, Chip Templeton, Thomas Lafoe, M.J. Etua and Madeline Golden will sing and play their way through a nostalgic repertoire from the late 1950s and early ”60s.
Hors d”oeuvres and beverages donated by Friends of the Center will be served. Business sponsors and contributors include Copy Cow and City Bagel Cafe.
Advance tickets are $20 per person, or $30 per couple, available at the Center for Breast Health. Tickets at the door will be $25 per person, or $35 per couple. For more information, contact event coordinator Cherri Lightsey at 662-615-3800.
