Area students offered scholarships from Itawamba Community College include:
Lauren Brown of Caledonia, and Jaquayla Cunningham, Mya Suzanne Guyness and Alexis Miller, all of Columbus.
Brown is a 2017 graduate of Caledonia High School, where honors and activities included honor roll, Mississippi Scholars, Beta Club, cheerleader, softball and Spanish Club. Brown is also a member of Phi Theta Kappa at ICC. She is the daughter of Patrick and Cherish Brown.
At Columbus High School where she was a 2018 graduate, Cunningham participated in cheerleading and Student Council. Honors included all A’s, Beta Club, National Tech Society and National Honor Society. She is the daughter of Christy Cunningham.
Guyness is a 2018 graduate of Caledonia High School where she participated in Beta Club, NHS, Mu Alpha Theta, FCCLA and color guard. Honors included academic, leadership and Cadence Bank scholarships. She is the daughter of Lorinda Guyness.
Miller is a 2018 graduate of Columbus High where she was a member of JROTC. Honors included superintendent’s list, National Honor Society, Beta Club and JROTC First Sergeant. Miller was also a member of the Church Nurse’s guild and a community service volunteer. She is the daughter of Valerie Miller.
