Cooler temperatures aren”t the only thing October will bring to The Golden Triangle. This month, Lawyer Henderson, along with the cast and crew of “The Governor”s Daughters,” will be filming around the area, according to the Columbus Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Henderson is the writer, producer and director of the contemporary drama. “We wanted to get a big name in our film because we know that is the main goal of an independent filmmaker.”
Henderson secured two experienced actors for the project. One is Donna Biscoe, who has extensive movie credits, including a role in Tyler Perry”s, “Daddy”s Little Girls.” Biscoe will co-star with Glenn Plummer, also a Hollywood veteran.
“The Governor”s Daughters” is the fictional account of a robbery that takes place in an Atlanta nightclub. During the crime, two daughters of the governor of Georgia are kidnapped. The trial of one of the criminals is set in Columbus.
Collaborating with Henderson is actor/producer Aial Jones of Columbus. Jones will play the part of Judge George E. Morris, presiding over the trial.
Henderson is working closely with the Columbus Film Commission, a division of the CVB.
The release of “The Governor”s Daughters” is expected in the spring of 2011.
