Mary Katherine Davis and Sean Francis Kearney, both of Charlotte, North Carolina, were married May 6, 2017, at half after five oíclock in the afternoon at Saint Peterís Episcopal Church in Charlotte, with the Rev. Jacob Pierce officiating. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Robert Davis of Columbus and the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Stephenson Hazard, also of Columbus, and the late Dr. and Mrs. James Austin Davis Jr. of Birmingham, Alabama. The bride was given in marriage by her father. Her gown of lace, tulle and satin featured a double layer skirt and illusion back. She wore her motherís cathedral-length veil of silk illusion swirled with open rose French AlenÁon lace and sprinkled with seed pearls. She also wore her great-grandmotherís pin and grandmotherís diamond drop, diamond and sapphire earrings and matching bracelet. Florence Davis Matthews of Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina, and Margaret Fairfax Davis of Birmingham, sisters of the bride, served as honor attendants. Bridesmaids were Claire Williams Dempsey of Jackson, Tennessee; Leigh Anne Ervin of Nashville, Tennessee; Lauren White Kearney of Fayetteville, North Carolina; Julia Stewart Martina of Birmingham; and Hillary Hughes Turner of Pensacola, Florida. All attendants wore one-shoulder watercolor blush floral printed chiffon and tulle full-length dresses which featured soft tones of blush, sage and ivory, shirred bodices and sweetheart necklines. The groom is the son of Lt. Gen. (Ret.) and Mrs. Francis Hugh Kearney III of Carolina Beach, North Carolina. He is the grandson of Mrs. John Edward Zurawicki and the late Mr. Zurawicki of Amsterdam, New York, and of the late Mr. and Mrs. Francis Hugh Kearney Jr. of Poughkeepsie, New York. Lt. Col. Daniel Patrick Kearney of Fayetteville, North Carolina, served as his brotherís best man. Groomsmen were Seth Andrew Glazer, Christopher David Kishbaugh, Christopher James Stewart, all of Charlotte; Christopher James Classen of Jacksonville, North Carolina; Dell Lee Dailey Jr. of San Francisco, California; Matthew Brian Henderson of Raleigh, North Carolina; and James Elliott Mason of Akron, Ohio. Daniel Liam Kearney and Jackson Francis Kearney, nephews of the groom, were the ring bearers. After a wedding trip to Italy, the couple resides in Charlotte.
