Ashley Oakes of McComb and Kevin Allen Earwood of Columbus were married at 6:30 p.m. June 3, 2017, at the Country Club of Oxford, with Dr. Shawn Parker officiating. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Scott Oakes of McComb. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. C.M. Wilson of Magnolia. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Oakes of McComb. She was given in marriage by her father. The bride wore a designer A-line gown with a silk slip overlaid with a Chantilly lace bodice flowing into an organza skirt. The look featured delicate straps, a satin sash at the waistline and a chapel-length French lace veil. Serving as matron of honor was Tina Jones of Osyka. Paige Webb of Kosciusko served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Morgan Middleton of Madison; Teresa Koehler of Summit; Margaret Alice Lampton of Brookhaven; Sally Earwood of Columbus; Caroline Bobinger of Jackson; Ashleigh Davis of Nashville, Tennessee; Chelsea Middleton of Acworth, Georgia; and Caroline Touchstone of Summit. Anna Studdard, Haley Studdard, Anna Claire Jackson and Ava Jackson served as junior bridesmaids. Amelia Jackson, Addilyn Sloan Jackson and Anne Lowry Earwood served as flower girls. The groom is the son Mr. and Mrs. David Earwood of Columbus. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Allen Lowry of Brandon, and Mrs. Lorene Earwood and the late Mr. William Earwood of Tupelo. The groom’s father served as best man. Groomsmen were Brad Earwood, Mac Thatcher, Arrington Rhett and Hamp Holley, all of Columbus; Lyon Brown of Jackson; Justin McCoy of Indianola; Matthew Jones of Florence, Alabama; Jordan Watson of Dallas, Texas; and Grant Jones of Madison. Fields Carson served as ring bearer. Following a wedding trip to the Turks and Caicos Islands, the couple resides in Columbus, where the bride is an optometrist at Brooks Eye Center and the groom is employed with Quality Beverage Packing.
