Tony and Nancy Swift of Alabaster, Ala., announce the engagement of their daughter, Angela "Angie" Paige Turnage of West Point, to Kerry Rayburn Mitchell of Northport, Ala., son of Rita Mitchell and Dennis Stanford of Northport, Ala., and the late Donald Mitchell of Tuscaloosa, Ala. Angie is also the daughter of the late Tommy C. Turnage of Columbus. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Everett and Clytee Mitchell and the late Betty Barnes Mitchell, all of Hatley, and the late Monroe and Onie Turnage of Columbus. She is a graduate of Columbus High School and of East Mississippi Community College-Mayhew, where she earned a marketing and nursing degree. She is employed as a certified licensed practical nurse at North Mississippi Medical Center-West Point. The prospective groom is the grandson of Alice Wilson of Cottondale, Ala., the late Clarence Wilson of Holt, Ala., and the late Ellis and Valeria Mitchell of Tuscaloosa. He is a graduate of Tuscaloosa County High School in Tuscaloosa. He is self-employed with Kerry Mitchell Trucking in Northport. Wedding vows will be exchanged June 6, 2009, at 6 p.m. at the home of Brooks and Allison Ferguson in Columbus. Family and friends are invited.
