GEORGIA (13-8, 4-5) AT MISSISSIPPI STATE (16-6, 4-5)

BROADCAST INFO: 5 p.m. on ESPNU with Taylor Zarzour and Kyle Macey, plus MSU Radio Network with Neil Price and Richard Williams.

GEORGIA's LAST 5: W 61-60 at LSU, L 79-65 at Auburn, L 80-77 (2 OT) vs. Arkansas, L 56-51 at Kansas State, W 72-60 vs. Florida.

MSU's LAST 5: W 80-62 vs. Vanderbilt, L 68-62 at Alabama, L 78-65 at Kentucky, W 74-62 vs. Missouri, W 81-76 at South Carolina.

GEORGIA's RESUMÉ: Against top 75 KenPom teams (MSU is 66th at the moment), Georgia is 5-7 and two of those wins came on the road. That tells you Georgia is good enough to win this game, but it's not good enough to be favored. The last two weeks for Georgia have been very similar to that of MSU's: the scuffle was very much real with losses at Auburn, at home against Arkansas and at Kansas State, but it's funny how a 12-point home win over Florida can straighten a lot of things out.

GEORGIA PROJECTED STARTERS

G 0 Turtle Jackson, Jr., 6'4", 185 -- 9.8 ppg, 2.6 rpg, 3.5 apg, 3-18 and 0-8 from 3-point range in his last two road games (Kansas State and Auburn).

G 3 Juwan Parker, R-Sr., 6'4", 205 -- 8.5 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 88.5 percent free throw shooter, 4-16 from 3-point range in his last three games.

F 13 E'Torrion Wilridge, Jr., 6'6", 220 -- 1.4 ppg, 1.3 rpg, off-and-on starter (played 20 games and started 12).

F 1 Yante Maten, Sr., 6'8", 243 -- 19.6 ppg, 9.0 rpg, 1.3 bpg, leads SEC in scoring and second in rebounding.

F 34 Derek Ogbeide, Jr., 6'8", 245 -- 7.2 ppg, 5.7 rpg, 1 bpg, nine combined free throw attempts in his last six games.

MISSISSIPPI STATE PROJECTED STARTERS

G 1 Lamar Peters, Soph., 6'0", 185 -- 7.5 ppg, 2.0 rpg, 3.6 apg, 25 steals in 19 games, best steal percentage on the team and ranks 116th in the nation.

G 0 Nick Weatherspoon, Fr., 6'2", 195 -- 10.7 ppg, 2.9 rpg, 2.3 apg, double digit points in three straight games now.

G 11 Quinndary Weatherspoon, Jr., 6'4", 205 -- 15.1 ppg, 5.9 rpg, 4.1 apg, 13th in the SEC in scoring, tied for 17th in rebounding, 6th in assists.

F 35 Aric Holman, Jr., 6'10", 225 -- 11.4 ppg, 7.0 rpg, (2.2 orpg), 1.3 bpg, hasn't scored in double digits in any of the last three games.

F 24 Abdul Ado, R-Fr., 6'11", 250 -- 7.7 ppg, 7.0 rpg, 1.9 bpg, 22 steals in 21 games, scored in double digits in back-to-back games twice in January after only doing it once before in his career.

NOTES: KenPom gives MSU a 61 percent chance of winning with a projected final score of 63-60...MSU is 6-0 when Quinndary Weatherspoon scores at least 20 points...Georgia's Yante Maten needs 17 points to crack the top 5 in school history for career points...Georgia does not steal the ball well at all, ranking 333rd out of 351 Division I teams in KenPom's steal percentage (MSU ranks 84th).
