After a sweep of the University of Kentucky, Mississippi State University baseball will open the Southeastern Conference Tournament against the University of Arkansas Tuesday. The tournament follows a double elimination format until the semfinals. MSU is the No. 7 seed and Arkansas is the No. 6 seed. Arkansas took two out of three in the regular season series in Starkville.

The Mississippi State University baseball team earned its fifth Southeastern Conference series victory Friday night with a 4-3 defeat of the University of Kentucky thanks to solid relief pitching and a massive three-run home run by Daryl Norris.
