When an East Columbus family arrived home from church Sunday, they found their Beech Street home ransacked of valuable electronics.
But later that day, after the family reported the burglary at about 4 p.m., police canvassed the area and recovered two televisions, a Wii game console and a DVD player in a nearby for-sale house on their street.
Entry was gained through a broken window.
No suspects were in custody this morning, said police Public Information Officer Terrie Songer.
The for-sale house was also broken into, although any charges stemming from that incident would probably be restricted to trespassing, she added.
Anyone with information on the case should call Golden Triangle Crime Stoppers at 1-800-530-7151 or the Columbus Police Department at 662-244-3500.
