The following were some of the sentences handed down during the March term of the Lowndes County Circuit Court:

- Jamie L. Frank, of 410 Tuscaloosa Road, pleaded guilty to felony false pretense. Frank was sentenced to three years probation and ordered to pay a $500 fine and $464.80 to the arresting law enforcement agency.
- Christopher Eugene Carr, of 1148 County Road 121 in New Albany, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine. He was sentenced to three years in MDOC with five years of post-release supervision and fined $750.

- Demetrice Skinner, of 201 Crenshaw Drive, pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine .1 to 2 grams by a habitual offender. He was sentenced to eight years in MDOC without eligibility for parole, fined $500 and ordered to pay $250 in restitution to the Columbus Police Department. In a separate case, Skinner also pleaded guilty to aggravated assault, for which he was sentenced to serve three years in MDOC with five years of post-release supervision and fined $500.
- Ronnie Shook, of 103 Veterans Drive in Booneville, pleaded guilty to embezzlement from the Columbus Sonic Drive-In. He was sentenced to one year house arrest then four years probation, and was ordered to pay a $500 fine and $1,283.29 in restitution.
- Jeremy Wilson, of 156 Johnnie B. Wilson Road, pleaded guilty to the burglary of Wholesale Auto Express. He was sentenced to three years in MDOC with four years of post-release supervision, fined $350, and ordered to pay $650 in restitution and get his GED.
- Carla Sue Brownlee, aka Carla Miller, pleaded guilty to manufacturing meth. She was sentenced to 12 years in MDOC with five years of post-release supervision, and was ordered to pay $5,000 in restitution and undergo long-term drug and alcohol treatment.

- Ryan Bartlett, of 40034 Gravel Pit Road in Hamilton, pleaded guilty to prescription forgery as part of a plea agreement. He was sentenced to four years in MDOC, with one year of post-release supervision, and was fined $1,000. The state agreed not to indict him on a charge of conspiracy.
- James Donovan, of 415 13th St. N., pleaded guilty to four counts of insurance fraud. The sum of all four sentences gave him two years house arrest, followed by a year of probation. He was also required to pay restitution of $3,555.55 and $500 to the criminal victims” fund.
- Kahlid Roby, of 109 Poplar St., pleaded guilty to grand larceny. His 10-year sentence was suspended, leaving him with five years probation. He was also ordered to pay a $1,000 fine.
The remaining sentences will be released Tuesday and Wednesday.
