ABDERDEEN — The city of Aberdeen will dedicate a new blues mural on April 29 — the first weekend of Pilgrimage — as part of the Mississippi Blues Trail.
The mural will feature blues musicians Albert King, Bukka White and Howlin” Wolf.
Tina Robbins, director of the Aberdeen Visitors Bureau, tells WTVA-TV that the mural will be located downtown next to the “Aberdeen Mississippi Blues” marker that was dedicated in 2009.
Robbins says the mural will be educational and another tourist attraction for the north Mississippi city.
She says the month of April is expected to draw in thousands of people for the Pilgrimage and for a variety of events.
