U.S. Marshals have arrested a 23-year-old Columbus man for robbery after receiving numerous tips through Golden Triangle Crime Stoppers.
D”Anzor Fernon Jackson, of 677 Yorkville Road E., was arrested March 17 in the area of the Stringer Manor Apartments in Columbus after about a month of eluding authorities.
When marshals and Columbus police arrived at the complex where Jackson was reportedly staying, Jackson received a warning via his cell phone and bolted.
Officers gave chase, eventually finding him hiding in a shed nearby.
Jackson, whose bond was set at $5,000, was charged with robbery. He is scheduled to appear in court April 21.

Columbus Police Department
· Antonio Miller, 21, of 1214 Wheat St., was taken into custody Monday at the police department. He was charged with statutory rape.
· Marco Sanchez Rice, 33, of 218 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive S., was arrested March 17 in the 2400 block of Third Avenue South. He was charged with possession of cocaine.
· William Blake Rood, 19, of 479 Bryant Road, was taken into custody Tuesday at the police department. He was charged with grand larceny of more than $500.
Lowndes County Sheriff”s Office
· Willie James Williams, 35, of 58 Swartz Drive Lot 76, was taken into custody Monday at the sheriff”s office. He was charged with five counts of aggravated assault while manifesting extreme indifference to life.
The charges stemmed from a January incident, when he and his girlfriend were involved in an argument. After she left in her vehicle with her four children, he allegedly followed her and rammed the car, causing it to run off the road and flip.
She was given stitches at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle while her children suffered minor bruises.
Williams is now out of jail on a $25,000 bond.
· Shemeka Brooks Patterson-Smith, 30, of 2338 Gillespie Road in Macon, was arrested March 16 at the Department of Motor Vehicles. She was charged with felony false pretense.
· Letisha Quinsett Doss, 31, of 402 Burgundy Drive, was arrested March 17 at her residence. She was charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a weapon.
· Jason Edward Bishop, 36, of 504 Belle Circle, was arrested Monday at his residence. He was charged with burglary, breaking and entering a dwelling.
· Benjamin Davis Ray, 19, of 272 Beringer Road, was arrested Monday at his residence. He was charged with burglary of commercial property or an automobile.
· Jonathan Cosell Jefferson, 26, of 186 Lehmberg Road, was arrested Tuesday at 2103 Ryan Place. He was charged with possession of marijuana, first offense, giving false information and possession of a weapon by a felon.
· Derrod Jerome Benion, 22, of 612 Mimosa St. in Greenwood, was transferred Tuesday from Leflore County to Lowndes County. He is charged here with possession of a marijuana more than a kilo.
· Charles Alton Burns, 45, of 122 Matson Road, was transferred March 16 from Pickens County to Lowndes County. He is charged here with domestic violence, third offense.
· Tracey Lynn Fausz, 44, of 603 Third St. N. in Amory, was transferred Friday from Itawamba County to Lowndes County. She is charged here with felony false pretense.
· Eddie DeWayne Bowles, 46, of 93 12th Ave. N., was transferred Monday from Clay County to Lowndes County. He is charged here with possession of a controlled substance and two counts of contempt of court.
