Columbus police officers and Lowndes County sheriff”s deputies will be waiting on tables and greeting guests tonight at Station Seven Sports Bar & Grill to help raise funds for cancer research.
The fundraiser, which is from 6 to 9 p.m. at the 509 Main St. pub, will pit officers and deputies against each other in a friendly competition to gather the most tips.
All proceeds of the fundraiser, which is one of several organized by the police department this month, will go to the American Cancer Society”s Relay for Life.
In addition to helping a good cause, Station Seven customers will also be entertained by police Chief Joseph St. John and his band, Blastpoint.
