A man shot during a party, allegedly by an 81-year-old man, is now in stable condition after spending a week and a half in critical condition at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle.
Joseph Griffin, of 606 Kidd Road Lot 2 in Lowndes County, allegedly shot Johnny Wells, who is in his 70s, in the chest-ribcage area April 3 while they were with several friends at a party in a Henry Lane residence in the Anderson Grove area.
The two had an alcohol-fueled argument at about 6 p.m. that led to the shooting, said Lowndes County Sheriff”s Detective Ryan Rickert.
Johnny Wells was taken in critical condition to the Intensive Care Unit at BMH-GT, where he remained today.
