Friday”s episode of “Hometown Renovations” on the Home and Garden Television cable network will have a decidedly local flavor.
As the six-part series centered around celebrity makeup artist Billy Brasfield”s makeover of older houses in his hometown of Aberdeen continues, Columbus businesses involved are slated to be featured. Bella Interiors, Lighting Plus and The Granite Guys did significant work on a renovation project to be showcased on air June 10. Bloomers Nursery of Caledonia provided landscaping expertise and has been included in two prior episodes.
Brasfield — better known as Billy B. in the glamour industry — was awarded HGTV”s Community Crusader Award in December 2010 for his restoration efforts, which have included work with the Save Aberdeen Landmarks Group Inc., a nonprofit organization that recovers and refurbishes local buildings and landmarks.
Brasfield has worked with stars including Scarlett Johansson, Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez and Pink. He divides his time between Aberdeen, New York City and Los Angeles.
“Hometown Renovations” airs on HGTV at 4 p.m. CST. Tune in to see how one “hometown hero” and his assembled team are uplifting a town, one house at a time.
