Total Healthcare Center has appointed Stephanie Jones Theaker as its new chief executive officer. The center is federally qualified and in 2010 served 8,416 patients. It”s mission is to provide a medical home for patient-centered access to affordable, quality primary and preventative health care. She was formerly the chief operations officer of Tampa Family Health Center, Inc. in Tampa, Fla., where she was in charge of the day-to-day operations of seven health centers and 250 employees. She began working there as the office manager and worked her way up, eventually extending her efforts to serve people throughout Hillsborough County through grant-writing and health care education in the community. She has been in the health care field for 15 years.
During her time at Tampa Family, Theaker earned her MBA from University of Florida in 2009, and she holds a B.S. in Health Care Management from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale.
Theaker is the daughter of Bessie and Willie T. Jones of Columbus. She has two daughters, Tierra and Amanda.
