A 19-year-old man out on bond for the 2010 armed robbery of Black Creek Grocery has been charged with holding up a Columbus grocery store.
Daryl Tywan Shinn, of 2611 Fourth Ave. N., was arrested Thursday at his residence and charged with the June 12 armed robbery of Tiya”s Market on Waterworks Road.
Shinn allegedly brandished a handgun and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.
His bond had not been set by this morning.
Shinn was out on probation at the time of his arrest for two charges stemming from 2010 incidents.
He was one of three men arrested for the armed robbery of Black Creek Grocery in Lowndes County Aug. 29. The other men arrested then were Alfronzia Townsel and Wesley Petty.
During the robbery, a clerk hit one of the suspects several times on the head with a cash register drawer.
Shinn was also charged in 2010 with burglary of a dwelling.

- Georgia Cargile, 44, of 720 N. Wolfe Road in Caledonia, was taken into custody Thursday at the Columbus Municipal Complex. She was charged with embezzlement and her bond was set at $5,000.
- Katie Magnolia Hairston, 43, of 1419 15th Ave. N., was arrested Thursday at her residence. She was charged with two counts of uttering forgery. Her bond was set at $2,000.
- Shequitta Deann Moore, 26, of 1006 Fourth St. S., Apt. B, was arrested Friday at Fourth Street South and 10th Avenue South. She was charged with domestic violence by aggravated assault. Her bond was set at $2,500.
- Sammie Terell McCoy, 29, of 106 Mill St., was arrested Saturday at 504 Cypress St. He was charged with felony malicious mischief, possession of marijuana more than an ounce and a misdemeanor charge of resisting arrest. His bond has not been set.
Lowndes County Sheriff”s Office
- John Christopher O”Callaghan, 42, of 4089 Highway 45 S., was arrested Thursday at the Auto Body Center in Columbus. He was charged with aggravated assault while manifesting extreme indifference to life. His bond was set at $10,000.
