‘Tis the season.
And he’s always jolly.
St. Nick will make his annual appearance at the downtown Columbus Y on Saturday, from 10 a.m. to noon.
Mrs. Claus also will be on hand.
“Santa’s elves will greet you upon arrival and Santa and Mrs. Claus are happy to pose with you for photographs, so be sure to bring your cameras,” Barbara Bigelow, director of community affairs for the Y wrote in a press release.
Santa also is offering a special slate of holiday activities: face painting, decorating cookies, making Christmas ornaments, writing a letter to Santa, pin the nose on Rudolph and more.
Children can participate in all the special activities for $5.
In the way of free entertainment, the Franklin Academy Glee Club will fill the air with Christmas singing, and Mrs. Claus will tell Christmas stories.
Cookies, juice and coffee will be provided, and door prizes will be given throughout the morning.
“This holiday event was so much fun last year that we wanted to offer it again to our community,” Bigelow said. “We hope everyone will be able to join us as we celebrate the Christmas season.”
