MACON — William Gray Boykin, 78, died Oct. 7, 2015, at Noxubee General Hospital. Services are 2 p.m. Saturday at Concord Baptist Church near Macon. Burial with military honors will follow at Salem Cemetery. Visitation is today from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home and from noon-2 p.m. Saturday at the church. Cockrell Funeral Home of Macon is in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Boykin was born on May 24, 1937, in Noxubee County the late Charlie C. and Bessie Mae Boykin. He was formerly employed in the plumbing and electrical service business. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Wendy Lanelle Boykin; son, Rocky Boykin; and two grandsons. He is survived by his children, Culetta Jean Killens, Ann Weigle, Steve Boykin, Pam Quinn, Stanley Boykin and Matthew Boykin, all of Louisville, Phyllis Dempsey of Ackerman, Carol Nelson and William K. Boykin of Macon, Janice Cooper and Billie Jo Boykin Smith, both of Brooksville, and Susan Boykin of Shuqualak; sisters, Rebecca Jo Ladner of Gulf Shores, Alabama, and Mary Lou Morton of Starkville; brothers, Pete Boykin of Shuqualak and Jesse Boykin of Escatawpa; 32 grandchildren and 47 great-grandchildren.
