Drug, shoplifting cases processed in 16th circuit court in Lowndes Co.

The following cases were processed during the current term of the 16th Circuit Court in Lowndes County: 

 


  • Richard Foss, of 30154 Seymore Road in Nettleton, pleaded guilty to one count of perjury. He was sentenced to two years in the Mississippi Department of Corrections and five years of post-release supervision. 

     


  • Karen Wilder, of 1006 Fourth St. S. in Columbus, pleaded guilty to one count of felony shoplifting. She was sentenced to five years in MDOC, five years of post-release supervision and must pay a $1,000 fine. 

     


  • David Shane Smith, of 451 Livingston Lane in Columbus, pleaded guilty to one count of felony driving under the influence. He was sentenced to five years in MDOC. 

     


  • Heather McClung, of 8249 Highway 182 E. in Columbus, pleaded guilty to two counts of possession of methylphenidate, more than 40 dosage units. She was sentenced to a total of 30 years in MDOC, 10 years of post-release supervision and must pay a $2,000 fine. 

     


  • Jessie Jerome Pounders, of 40207 McDuffie Cemetery Road in Hamilton, pleaded guilty to one count of possession of methamphetamine precursors. She was sentenced to eight years in MDOC, five years of post-release supervision and must pay a $5,000 fine. 

     


  • John Dora, of 221 Lawrence Drive in Columbus, pleaded guilty to one count of failure to register as a sex offender. He was sentenced to one year in MDOC and four years of post-release supervision. 

     


    n Timothy Edward, of 1504 12th Ave. N. in Columbus, pleaded guilty to one count of sale of cocaine. He was sentenced to seven years in MDOC, five years of post-release supervision and must pay a $5,000 fine. 

     


  • Clint Earvin, of 314 N. Washington St. in Macon, pleaded guilty to one count of burglary of a dwelling. He was sentenced to five years in MDOC, five years of post-release supervision and must pay a $5,000 fine. 

     


  • Teresa McKay, of 2995 New Hope Road in Columbus, pleaded guilty to one count of sale of hydrocodone. She was sentenced to four years in MDOC, five years of post-release supervision and must pay a $5,000 fine. 

     


  • Billy Ray Shelley, of 815 Cal-Kolola Road in Caledonia, pleaded guilty to one count of possession of cocaine, between 0.1 grams and 2 grams. He was sentenced to two years in MDOC and five years of post-release supervision. 

     


  • Billy Sample, of 2023 Third Ave. N. in Columbus, pleaded guilty to one count of felony shoplifting. He was sentenced to one year in MDOC. 

     


  • Kenneth Shirley, of 195 Hobbs-Sheffield Road in Columbus, pleaded guilty to one count of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute. He was sentenced to a total of 30 years in MDOC and must pay a $5,000 fine. 

     


  • Karen Gibson, of 195 Gibson Lane in Fayette, Ala., pleaded guilty to one count of possession of more than 15 grams of ephedrine. She was sentenced to two years in MDOC and three years of post-release supervision. 

     


  • Terri Luther, of 2195 County Road 2 in Kennedy, Ala., pleaded guilty to one count of possession of methamphetamine precursors. She was sentenced to 12 years in MDOC, five years of post-release supervision and must pay a $1,000 fine.
