Foul play is not suspected in the death of an Oktibbeha County man found dead March 14.
The body of Melvin Robinson, 51, was found Wednesday by family members in a wooded area near Oktibbeha County Lake.
“The body was found on Club Road,” Oktibbeha County Coroner Michael Hunt said. “He was found by his two brothers. He had been missing for an undetermined amount of time, but a missing person’s report had not been filed. His brothers went looking for him after they had not been able to contact him.”
Hunt said Robinson lived near the area where his body was found.
“Right now, we have not determined the cause of death, but their isn’t any evidence of foul play,” Hunt said.
Robinson’s body has been sent for an autopsy in Jackson. The Oktibbeha County Sheriff’s Office is still investigating the death.
