A pair of drug busts by the Columbus-Lowndes Metro Narcotics Unit, the Columbus Police Department and the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office has led to the arrest of four Lowndes County men.
A search warrant executed Thursday at 2514 6th Ave. N resulted in the arrests of Samuel Edwards and Cortez Pratt, who were charged with possession of marijuana. A third suspect, Randy Outlaw, was also arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. An undetermined amount of marijuana, digital scales, a 22-caliber revolver and drug paraphernalia was confiscated.
About one pound of marijuana was discovered after a search warrant was served Friday at 1076 Harrison Road. Cory Sanders was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana greater than one ounce with intent to distribute while in possession of a firearm. Also seized was a 9-mm firearm, digital scales and more than $3,000 in cash.
