The Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the armed robbery of an occupied trailer in northern Lowndes County.
About 1:30 a.m. Thursday, deputies responded to an alleged armed robbery/burglary at 4180 Highway 373, Lot 237, near Columbus Air Force Base.
LCSO reports note six people were tied with phone cords and shoe laces, after two armed masked men made their way into the home.
The masked men allegedly removed a safe containing $12,000 and other items from the home.
The suspects are described as two black men — one “light-skinned” and the other “medium-skinned” — wearing black hoodies and black shorts, as well as boots and black tennis shoes.
