The Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a nightclub fight which led to the arrest of a Caledonia man and two men from Alabama.
Richard Eugene Keene, 51, 1188 Freman Road, Caledonia, Mark Edwin Greer, 51, 255 Greer St., Sulligent and Richard Thomas Stanford, 34, of 24388 8 Ave. SW, Fayette, were arrested by deputies with LCSO Saturday night at the Miss-Ala Club near the state line on Highway 12 in Lowndes County. Sheriff Mike Arledge said Frankie Wayne Honeycut had been stabbed twice and was transported by ambulance to Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle. Arledge said Monday said Honeycut has been released from the hospital.
“All we can say at this time is that there was a disturbance and altercation at the bar,” Arledge said. “The incident is still under investigation.”
