The Oktibbeha County Sheriff’s Department seized approximately $30,000 in marijuana earlier this week.
Officials with the OCSO said Walter Atterberry, 46, of 1814 Evans Road, was arrested and charged with one count of Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute.
Law enforcement officials discovered 13 pounds of marijuana in Atterberry’s home when they executed a search warrant on the residence on Monday.
The Columbus-Lowndes Metro Narcotics Unit assisted with the investigation.
Atterberry was released from the Oktibbeha County Jail Wednesday on $25,000 bond.
Sheriff’s Department officials said the investigation is still ongoing and encourage anyone with information regarding the case to contact the Oktibbeha Count Sheriff’s Department at 662-323-2421 or Golden Triangle Crimestoppers at 1-800-530-7151.
