An architecture student at Mississippi State has confessed to multiple charges of malicious mischief following his arrest Wednesday night.
Starkville Police Department officials say Colton Jackson Stephens, 20, of 308 Montgomery St., is responsible for close to 20 graffiti tags around Starkville.
Stephens has been released on $9,000 bond and will face trial Nov. 26 on 18 counts of malicious mischief.
He was apprehended Wednesday night, and Starkville Police Department Lt. Troy Outlaw said the arrest was made mostly thanks from tips from the public.
All the tags read “OwenS,” but the most recent ones also bore a star.
The tags began appearing around January earlier this year.
