The following arrests were reported by the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office and the Columbus Police Department:
Justin Devario Holliness, 25, of 1716 7th Ave. N., was arrested near 15th St. N. and 7th Ave. N., by CPD April 23 and charged with felony possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, resisting arrest, simple assault on a police officer, possession of marijuana in a vehicle and felony hindering prosecution. His court date is scheduled for May 15. He has not been released.
Teresa Ann Boone Garner, 49, of 101 Magnolia Road, was arrested by CPD and charged with failure to appear and the sale of encumbered property without disclosing a lien. Her court date is scheduled for May 22. She has not been released.
Randy Lee Gunter, 36, of 300 South Lehmberg Road Apt. 52, was arrested by Mississippi Highway Patrol April 23 and charged with driving with a suspended drivers license, violating the child restraint law and violation of probation. His court date is scheduled for May 14. He has not been released.
Gary Morris, 54, of 51 St. Matthews Road, was arrested at 401 16th Ave. S., by CPD April 23 and charged with public drunkenness, domestic violence and violation of probation. His court date is scheduled for May 8. He has not been released.
Essie Mae Riley, 43, of 447 Burgundy Drive was arrested at 7th St. N. and Heritage Ave. by CPD April 23 and charged with speeding, driving with suspended drivers license, driving without a drivers license, uttering forgery and driving with no insurance. Her court date is scheduled for June 6. She was released the same day.
Sammie Lee Young Jr., 23, of 84 Burgundy Drive, was arrested near 2nd Ave. N. and 21st St. N., by CPD April 23 and charged with six counts of disobeying a traffic control device, failure to yield to blue lights, disobeying a police officer, possession of paraphernalia, driving with a suspended drivers license, driving with no insurance and possession of a stolen firearm. His court date is scheduled for May 29. He has not been released.
