Local law enforcement agencies are searching for three suspects who robbed the 101 Academy Road Sprint Mart at gunpoint Thursday.
Three mask-wearing, weapon-wielding suspects entered the gas station about 3:30 p.m. Thursday and demanded money, cigarettes and cigarillos from a clerk while another employee was held at gunpoint on the floor.
Surveillance video shows a suspect entered the gas station and threw a clerk to the ground while a second suspect robbed a second teller. A third suspect then entered the Sprint Mart and maintained a lookout post at the door.
All three suspects were observed fleeing west toward Louisville after the robbery, a Starkville Police Department release states.
SPD described the first suspect as a black male who was wearing what appeared to be a balaclava and sunglasses. The second suspect, the SPD release states, is a black female who was wearing a mask known from the “Scream” movie series. She is approximately 5-foot-3-inches to 5-foot-5-inches in height, the release states. A description of the third suspect was not included in the release.
