With the threat of bad weather in Friday’s forecast, the board of directors of Main Street Columbus have decided to postpone Wassail Fest, originally scheduled for Friday from 5-8 p.m., until the following Friday, Dec. 13.
Main Street Columbus officials were trying to determine when the lighting of the downtown Christmas Tree will be held. The tree-lighting was scheduled to be part of the Wassail Fest activities.
While the downtown portion of Wassail Fest has been postponed, the portion of the festival scheduled to be held on the Mississippi University for Women campus will continue as planned. Those activities begin at 8 p.m. and include Christmas caroling, carriage rides, a visit from Santa and more. For more information, call 662-329-4750.
