Crime Report 9-21-09

 

 

The following crimes and felony arrests were reported by the Columbus Police Department: 

 


     

     


  • William McBride, 19, of 218 Davis Road in Ackerman, was arrested Friday by the Columbus Police Department on one count of uttering forgery. 

     


    McBride is charged with forging a check in the amount of $17,000 Aug. 10 at Premier Ford in Columbus. 

     


  • Alonzo Johnson, 20, of 1701 Fifth Ave. S. in Columbus, was arrested Wednesday on one count of domestic violence. The charge is Johnson''s third for domestic violence. 

     


  • Injuries were reported following a fight Saturday at 106 22nd St. S. in Columbus, the location of the Grey Goose and Slick Daddy''s night clubs. 

     


    Offers responded to a disturbance and found one male subject bleeding outside surrounded by broken beer bottles. Another male subject was found bleeding in the Grey Goose. 

     


    A crime scene was established and both men were transported to Baptist Memorial Hospital. No witnesses have come forward. The Lowndes County Sheriff''s Office arrested Eric Pratt, 23, of 1611 Martin Luther King Drive in Columbus, Saturday at the Grey Goose for disorderly conduct, but it is unknown if his arrest was related to the disturbance. The cause of the fight is under investigation. 

     


  • Officers responded to the 1000 block of 22nd Street South regarding a complaint of a stolen dog. A pit bull puppy was reported stolen from a back yard. 

     


  • Officers responded to a report of burglary of an automobile on the 1700 block of Clover Street. A factory radio was reported stolen. 

     


  • Officers responded to a report of burglary of an automobile on the 1600 block of 22nd Street North. A purse was taken from a car and found in a yard three houses away. The purses contents were intact with the exception of $7.
