State tourism director Malcolm White will address graduates Saturday at the Mississippi University for Women.
White opened the Jackson restaurant Hal & Mal’s with his late brother. He co-founded the Mal’s St. Paddy’s Day Parade in downtown Jackson, and WellsFest, a Jackson music festival put on by Wells United Methodist Church.
White joined the Mississippi Development Authority in 2013 after serving as executive director of the Mississippi Arts Commission for seven years. He is chairman of the Mississippi Blues Commission and Mississippi’s Bicentennial Organizing Committee.
About 300 MUW students will graduate in two separate ceremonies in Rent Auditorium.
