The following arrests were made by Lowndes County Sheriff's office and Columbus Police Department. 

 

 

 

  • Eddie James Bluitt, Jr., 30, 335 Pandora Drive, was arrested May 9 by LCSO at his residence and charged with domestic violence - aggravated assault by strangulation, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest. He is being held on $15,000 bail. 

     

  • Jalain Marques Cunningham, 30, 409 Avenue A, was arrested May 9 by LCSO on Alabama St. and charged with careless driving, no drivers license, possession of a weapon by a felon, and possession of cocaine. 

     

  • Damon Michael Fisher, 27, 103 Bowman Shelton Drive, was arrested May 7 by LCSO at 1913 Highway 45 N. and charged with felony false pretense. He was released May 12 on $5,000 bail. 

     

  • Anthony Deon Gilmore, 18, 1408 17th Ave. N., was arrested May 7 by CPD at 1700 Bell Ave. and charged with petite larceny, disobeying a police officer and Burglary of a dwelling. He is being held on $2,500 bail. 

     

  • Michael Montez Harris, 35, 1314 7th Ave. N., was arrested May 7 by CPD at 1123 6th St. N. and charged with felony malicious mischief. He is being held on $1,000 bail. 

     

  • Torrey Kenyon Harris, 36, 1715 5th Ave. S., was arrested May 9 by LCSO at 1517 5th Ave. S. and charged with grand larceny - more than $500 and three counts of felony taking of motor vehicle. He is being held on combined $15,000 bail. 

     

  • Justin Daniel Lee, 25, 238 Ward Road, was arrested May 7 by LCSO at Baptist Memorial Hospital Emergency Room and charged with aggravated assault on a police officer with a weapon or other means to produce death, felony escape, felony false pretense, and felony malicious mischief. He is being held on combined $50,000 bail. 

     

  • Cortney Lamar Petty, 24, 805 Spruce St., was arrested May 11 by CPD at 106 22 St. S. and charged with possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, two counts of failure to obey a police officer, resisting arrest, and public drunkenness. He is being held on combined $6,1111 bail. 

     

  • Travonte Deangelo Sherrod, 24, 83 Willie Brewer Road, was arrested May 9 by LCSO at his residence and charged with felony credit card - intent to defraud. He was released the same day on $2,500 bail. 

     

  • Glaster Glenn Smith, 29, 1600 27 St. N., #9, was arrested May 9 by CPS at his residence and charged with burglary of a dwelling. He is being held on $5,000 bail. 

     

  • Bert Sparks, Jr., 23, 1412 17 Ave. N., was arrested May 8 by LCSO at Military Quick Stop and charged with possession of cocaine, suspended drivers license, disobey traffic control device, and kidnapping.  

     

  • Clinton William Weaver, 23, 1501 3 Ave. N. #A, was arrested May 8 by LCSO at 702 Military Road and charged with possession of cocaine, carrying a concealed weapon, resisting arrest, and contempt of court. He is being held on combined $940 bail. 

     

  • Dustin Thad Cole, 27, 3059 New Hope Road, was arrested May 12 by LCSO on Highway 182 and charged with possession of methamphetamine and two counts of possession of a controlled substance. 

     

  • Carlos Conroy Douglas Jr., 37, 297 Maderia Drive, was arrested May 11 by LCSO at 527 MLK Drive and charged with possession of cocaine, resisting arrested, obstructing traffic, no insurance, driving with a suspended license, failure to yield to blue light, and expired tag.
