The Columbus Police Department is releasing few details about an armed robbery that occurred at a Columbus hotel Monday morning.
According to CPD spokesperson Latasha Key, an armed robbery occurred at the Ramada Inn in Columbus at 1:45 a.m. Monday. The Ramada is located at 1200 Highway 45 North.
Key declined to release the number of suspects or the suspect description. She also declined to release the amount of money taken in the incident, citing an ongoing investigation.
When contacted Monday, Ramada’s manager Kim Klafter said no one was harmed during the incident and no hotel guests were present at the time the robbery occurred.
Klafter said there is a video of the incident but declined to release it to The Dispatch. Investigators do have a copy of the video, she said.
Anyone with information regarding the robbery is asked to call the Columbus Police Department at 662-244-3552.
