Investigation nets arrest of suspected drug dealer

A Columbus man was picked up recently by the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office on seven counts of narcotics sales.

Albert Earl Greenlee, 27, of 260 Gregory Road in Columbus, was arrested Sunday during a traffic stop by the LCSO.

Through a Columbus Metro Narcotics Unit investigation which began in May 2008, Greenlee was charged with four counts of sale of marijuana and three counts of sale of cocaine.

Undercover officers made multiple drug deals with Greenlee, a street dealer who operated at several spots, primarily on the north side of Columbus, said Joey Brackin, unit commander for the narcotics unit.

Other arrests

The following other felony arrests were reported by the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office.

  • Daniel Wayne Johnson, 25, of 208 Christopher Drive in Columbus, was arrested Monday by the LCSO on one count of cyberstalking.

  • Stephen Edward Walker, 45, of 374 Priscilla Circle in Columbus, was arrested Oct. 20 by the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics on one count of conspiracy to commit a crime.

  • Matthew Allen Fowler, 38, of 580 Prescott St. S. in Memphis, Tenn., was arrested Thursday by the Mississippi Department of Corrections for violation of probation.

  • William Chad Hill, 30, of 100 Winchester Drive in Columbus, was arrested Thursday by the Mississippi Highway Patrol on counts of DUI-third offense, reckless driving and driving on a suspended license.

  • Jamar Rashawn Rice, 21, of 208 Robinwood Circle in Columbus, was arrested Thursday by MDOC for violation of probation.

  • Sheridan Kelsey Sullivan, 20, of 1100 College St. in Columbus, was arrested Friday by the Mississippi University for Women Police Department on one count of possession of a controlled substance.

  • Terrica Monique Drungo, 28, of 165 Pandora Drive in Columbus, was arrested Friday by the LCSO on two counts of sale of cocaine.

  • Billy Joe Wochesin Jr., 34, of 30 Sunny Lane in Columbus, was arrested Friday by the LCSO on one count of identity theft.
