Mississippi University for Women’s Creating High Achievement in Mathematics and Problem Solving project will host a Super Saturday Workshop for Teachers, this Saturday.

The workshop will be held at the Plymouth Bluff Center — from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. — for area teachers interested in learning new, hands-on mathematics techniques for the classroom. Alan and Sue Schuler from MUGGINS! Math will lead the training session.

Advanced registration is required. The cost is $20 and 0.5 continuing education units will be available for participants.

CHAMPS is sponsored by the Roger F. Wicker Center for Creative Learning located on the campus of MUW. CHAMPS’ goal is to improve teacher quality in the 17 high-needs districts located in Northeast Mississippi by providing a comprehensive program of professional development.

For more information, contact Sarah Sumners at 662-241-6088 or e-mail ssumners@ccl.muw.edu.
