Sentences on cases ranging from grand larceny to possession of precursors were handed down during the first week of the November term of Lowndes County Circuit Court.

Judge Lee J. Howard and Judge James T. Kitchens are presiding.

• Bobby W. Cosby, 4221 Highway 373, Lot 50, Columbus, pleaded guilty to grand larceny and burglary of a business. On the grand larceny charge, court records show the case was retired to the files based on a guilty plea. On the burglary of a building charge, Cosby was sentenced to seven years with the Mississippi Department of Corrections. He has been ordered to pay fines and restitution totaling $1,190.

  
  

• Lee Grant Butler, 912 Waterworks Road, Columbus, pleaded guilty to grand larceny, and was sentenced to 10 years with MDOC, and ordered to attend long-term drug and alcohol counseling at MDOC.

  
  

• Jerome Crowder, 252 McHall Drive, Columbus, pleaded guilty to burglary of a dwelling. He was sentenced to five years with MDOC, and five years of probation following release.

  
  

• Jonathan Cole, 5005 Timberline 8, Aberdeen, pleaded guilty to possession of precursors. He was sentenced to 12 years with MDOC, then five years of probation, and ordered to pay costs of $5,000.

  
  The session is scheduled to continue Monday, and to conclude Dec. 1.
