Eat With Us is excited to announce a new Director of Sales and Marketing, Shannon Barkley. Barkley began working for Eat With Us as a server in 2009, working her way up to assistant manager of the Harveys restaurant in Columbus, before briefly leaving in 2014 for a management position outside the company.
“This is exactly the position I’ve always wanted in the company,” Barkley said. “I wanted to take my operational experience and make sure the company’s message was properly portrayed out of each individual store. I saw so many opportunities for marketing while working on the operational side.” While employed with Eat With Us, Barkley received bachelor’s degrees in marketing and business management from Mississippi State University. “She has a marketing degree and outside marketing experience,” said Eat With Us President and CEO John Bean. “But, it’s also good to have someone who knows the nuts and bolts of your business. Shannon is a perfect fit for our company and our culture. She’s someone who could hit the ground running because she knows our operations really well.”
As Director of Sales and Marketing, Shannon is tasked with coordinating all media and sales efforts between Eat With Us management and each of the 20 Harveys, Sweet Peppers Deli and Grill locations. “I really like working with John (Bean) and the management team,” Barkley said. “I think they have a great understanding of the industry. And the industry is unique; we get to be a part of so many different parts of life. We take a dining experience and replicate it over a lifetime–birthday parties, catering a wedding or just lunch–and every life experience between.”
