The Monroe County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a one-car accident that took the life of a Monroe County man.
The sheriff’s department responded the scene of the accident on Sand Hill Road near the Wren community at 3 p.m. Tuesday where they found the body of Glenn Allen Garrett, 40, of 30380 Little Coontail Road in Wren.
The sheriff’s department says there were no known witnesses and the time of the accident could not be determined. A passing motorist who saw the wreckage made the call to the sheriff’s department to report the accident.
Deputies found Garrett’s body lying beside his badly-damaged Ford F-150 truck. Deputies believe Garrett was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash.
Monroe County Coroner Alan Gurley attributed the death to multiple trauma.
